AVI-AV04. VOLCANO CLIMBING
Departing from the inn, we will go after adventure and challenges. We arrive at the Natural Park Cerro Verde. Cerro Verde is an inactive volcano located at an altitude of 6670 feet above sea level and is 500 hectares.

It is a cloud forest and around its crater the temperature oscillates between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius. At 11:00 a.m. we will initiate the long walk towards the active Izalco volcano.

After two hours of long walk and climbing, we arrive until the crater of Izalco Volcano. This is one of youngest volcanoes in the world. Known as “the Light of the Pacific” by the navigators of the Pacific Ocean, the Izalco volcano formed its own magma chamber in century XVIII.

In the middle of the cacao cultures that the native Pipils took care of for this important industry that contributed much to the Spanish economy. Have more fun when descending a dense cloud forest by a gigantic toboggan of ash.

What took more than one hour in climbing up can take even 10 minutes going down.

Degree of difficulty that the footpaths have:

Izalco Volcano: Difficult/Very Difficult. IMPORTANT: By the difficulty degree, it requires of suitable physical training conditions.




AVI-AV04. ESCALADA DE VOLCANES.
Saliendo del lugar de alojamiento, iremos en busca de la aventura y los retos. Llegamos al Parque Natural Cerro Verde. El Cerro Verde es un volcán inactivo ubicado a una altitud de 2,035 MSNM y longitud de 500 hectáreas, posee un bosque nebuloso adentro y alrededor de su cráter con una temperatura que oscila entre los 12 y 18 grados centígrados. A las 11:00 a.m. iniciaremos la caminata hacia el Volcán de Izalco. Luego de dos horas de caminata y escalada, llegamos hasta el cráter del Volcán. Este volcán es uno de los más jóvenes del mundo. Conocido como “El Faro del Pacífico” por los navegantes del Océano Pacífico, el volcán de Izalco se formó con su propia cámara magmática en el siglo XVIII, en medio de las plantaciones de cacao que cuidaban los indígenas pipiles para esta importante industria que aportaba mucho a la economía española. La diversión continúa al descender por un gigantesco tobogán de arena hacia una densa selva nebulosa. Lo que tomó más de una hora en ascender lo puede bajar hasta en 10 minutos. Grado de dificultad que presentan los senderos: Volcán de Izalco: Difícil / Muy Difícil. IMPORTANTE: Por el grado de dificultad, requiere de condiciones físicas adecuadas, asi como vestimenta fuerte y protección del sol fuerte.
