Pasando por Centroamérica

Departure from Guatemala to El Salvador, crossing the Las Chinamas border. We will travel along the famous Flower Route, known for its lush vegetation, abundance of wildflowers, and beautiful panoramic views of coffee plantations covering the mountain slopes. This region is also home to lagoons and dense tropical forests.



Arrival in Ataco, a picturesque town known as the gateway to art in El Salvador. The town is famous for its colorful textiles and impressive murals that decorate the colonial houses. Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant, and in the afternoon, we’ll take a coffee tour where you'll learn about the cultivation and production process of Salvadoran coffee.

Dinner at the hotel and free time to explore the town or relax. Overnight in Ataco.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the Volcano Complex, a spectacular area rich in nature, covering 5,000 hectares. Here, you'll find three majestic volcanoes:

• Izalco Volcano, the youngest and known as the "Lighthouse of the Pacific" due to its constant activity.

• Cerro Verde Volcano, an extinct volcano now covered in a beautiful cloud forest.

• Santa Ana Volcano, the highest of the complex, famous for its crater.



Next, we’ll visit the Archaeological Site of Joya de Cerén, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the only place in the Mayan world where you can see how ancient Mayans lived, thanks to its unique preservation after being buried by a volcanic eruption.



After this fascinating tour, we’ll continue to San Salvador to visit the Historic Center: the National Palace, the National Theater, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the impressive El Rosario Church. Arrival at the hotel for overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Suchitoto, known as the "City of the Flower Bird." On the way, we’ll stop at the Archaeological Site of Cihuatán, an important Mayan center where you can see structures, the ball court, and a local museum.



Upon arrival in Suchitoto, we’ll explore the museum of filmmaker Alejandro Coto, a place full of cinematic history. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a scenic boat tour on Lake Suchitlán, admiring its various islands as the sun sets. As part of the evening, we’ll have a pupusa-making workshop, learning to prepare this delicious traditional Salvadoran dish. Overnight in Suchitoto.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure toward the eastern coast of the country. We’ll visit Puerto Barillas, home to the largest cacao plantation in Central America, and make a stop at Jiquilisco Bay, a biosphere reserve known for its biodiversity.



The bay is a sanctuary for numerous coastal birds, especially migratory species, and is also a nesting site for four of the seven species of sea turtles in the world. After the tour, you’ll have free time to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings of Puerto Barillas. Overnight in Puerto Barillas.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the Port of La Unión, where we’ll complete customs procedures. From there, we’ll board a boat to sail across the Gulf of Fonseca, an impressive body of water that connects three countries: El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.



During the approximately 2.5-hour journey, you’ll admire volcanoes, picturesque fishing villages, and the rich flora and fauna of the gulf’s islands.

Finally, we’ll arrive in Potosí, Nicaragua, where the tour will continue to explore more of this fascinating region.
