Nature in the Volcano Complex

This tour blends breathtaking natural wonders with fascinating ancient history. We begin at Cerro Verde National Park, an extinct volcano sitting at 2,035 meters above sea level, surrounded by a mystical cloud forest. Walk through the nature trails inside the crater and enjoy panoramic views of the Izalco and Ilamatepec volcanoes, as well as the shimmering Lake Coatepeque.

San Andrés pyramids and Joya de Cerén

In the afternoon, we will visit San Andrés, one of the largest and most important ceremonial centers in the country during the Late Classic period (600–900 A.D.). You will have the opportunity to explore its impressive pyramids and its on-site museum.

We end the day at Joya de Cerén, the ancient Maya village exceptionally preserved under volcanic ash, recognized worldwide as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the end of the tour, we will return directly to your hotel.
