AVI-CI02. Tour Devil'S Doorwar, Panchimalco and Pupusas
We will visit the impressive rock formation in the outskirts of the city, the Devil’s door, where we climb to the top and admire the mountainous landscape, the coastal area and if we are lucky and have a clear day, we will apreciate some volcanoes in the horizon.
From here, we also descry the colonial town of Panchimalco; later we will visit this colourful town and the art gallery of the salvadorean artist Miguel Angel where we may greet the painter and even get some art work.
Finally, prepare yourself for delicious pupusas, considered the most representative typical plate of the country.
As an option we may visit the Cultural Museum in San Jacinto or the Museum of “the Word and the Image”, and even go to the commemorative route of Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo Romero, visiting his house-museum, his grave and the museum of the Catholic University.
AVI-CI02. Tour La Puerta del Diablo, Panchimalco y Pupusas
Partiendo del lugar de alojamiento, visitaremos la impresionante formación rocosa en las afueras de la ciudad, subiremos a las rocas de La Puerta del Diablo, y podremos admirar el paisaje montañoso, la zona costera, y si un día claro nos lo permite, podremos divisar algunos de los volcanes en el horizonte este y el oeste.
Desde este punto lograremos divisar el pueblo colonial de Panchimalco; después visitaremos este pintoresco pueblo y podremos visitar una galería de arte, quizá podamos saludar al pintor Miguel Angel, un artista salvadoreño, y ver su obra, y hasta adquirir alguna pieza de arte.
Finalmente, podremos disfrutar de las deliciosas pupusas, consideradas el plato típico más representativo de El Salvador.
Opcionalmente, también podremos visitar el Museo Cultural San Jacinto o el Museo de la Palabra y la Imagen, y hasta hacer el recorrido conmemorativo a Monseñor Oscar Arnulfo Romero, visitar su casa-museo, su sepultura y el museo de la Universidad Católica.
