SUN - Day 1. SAN SALVADOR
Breakfast. Departure to Joya de Ceren, the most important archaeological discovery in the past 50 years throughout Latin America: a Mayan village which shows how common social groups of the Mayans lived, the community was buried under the ashes of the eruption of a volcano, which is why it is known as the Pompeii of America. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Typical dinner and accommodation

MON - Day 2. SAN SALVADOR – APANECA
Breakfast. We will visit first the city of Izalco, a major in history from pre-Columbian times and the colonial period. One major area occupied by the "lordship of Izalco," significant indigenous authority found by colonizers. We then drive to the picturesque town of Nahuizalco, "the four Izalcos" according to its meaning in language Náhuat. This indigenous-colonial city is known for its work on wicker and wood in which handicrafts are available for costumers. Alter this visit, we will go to the city of Juayúa, in Náhuat it means "River of purple orchids," and where there is history and the backbone of the economy in the coffee plantations, item important to sustaining the economy of the country for over a hundred years. Then we will visit the beautiful town of Apaneca to enjoy a delicious lunch in a restaurant in the area, finally we will go to a coffee farm to observe different coffee plantations. Here we visit the only private archaeological site of El Salvador: the Monolitos or Gordinflones, located on a terrace built by the indigenous people who were believed laid the foundation for the development of what later became the Mayan culture. TUE - DAY 3. APANECA - CHALCHUAPA - SAN SALVADO
Breakfast. This day, we will travel to Chalchuapa, pokomame pre-Columbian origin, in the Nahuat language this means "Place where jadeitas (little jade) abound." Here we visit the archaeological site El Tazumal where we can admire the pyramids and visit the local museum. Around El Tazumal are available retorts of original pieces for sale. Then we move toward San Andres, pre-Columbian ceremonial center where we will see several structures (pyramids) semi-discovered and the historical museum. Dinner and accommodation.

WED - DAY 4. SAN SALVADOR - SUCHITOTO
Breakfast.
Departure to the archaeological site Cihuatán. Cihuatán in the nahuat language means "City of Women." This site reaches an area of 2 miles2 and used to be a ceremonial center. This is an archaeological site with remains of a large city; this is without doubt one of the archaeological treasures of Central America. We will see the ball court and other structures as altars. The "Ball Game" was a major ceremonial activity that the Indians had; they played it with highly elastic rubber balls. Then we visit the town of Suchitoto, where we will take our lunch, in the afternoon we take a tour boat on Suchitlan Lake, return to San Salvador. Lodging.

THU - DAY 5. SAN SALVADOR – AIRP0RT

DOM - Día 1. SAN SALVADOR
Desayuno. Saldremos para Joya de Cerén, el descubrimiento arqueológico de mayor importancia durante los últimos 50 años en toda América Latina: una aldea Maya que nos muestra cómo vivieron los grupos sociales comunes de los Mayas, fue sepultado bajo las cenizas de la erupción de un volcán, razón por la cual se le conoce como La Pompeya de América. Fue declarada por LA UNESCO Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Cena típica y alojamiento

LUN - Día 2. SAN SALVADOR –APANECA
Desayuno
. Visitaremos primero la ciudad de Izalco, importante en la historia desde la época precolombina y la época colonial. Una región importante donde se asentaba el “señorío de Izalco,” importante autoridad indígena que encontraron los colonizadores. Nos conduciremos a la pintoresca ciudad de Nahuizalco, “los cuatro Izalcos” según su significado en lengua Náhuat. Esta ciudad indígena-colonial se caracteriza por sus trabajos en mimbre y madera en la cual se podrán realizar compras de artesanías. Posteriormente visitaremos la Ciudad de Juayúa, cuyo nombre en Náhuat significa "Río de orquídeas moradas", y donde hay historia y la base de la economía en los cultivos del café, rubro importante que sostuvo la economía del país por más de cien años. Seguidamente visitaremos la hermosa Villa de Apaneca para disfrutar de un delicioso almuerzo en un restaurante de la zona, terminando nuestro recorrido en una finca de café, para observar diferentes plantaciones de café. Aquí visitaremos el único sitio arqueológico privado de El Salvador: los Monolitos o Gordinflones, ubicado en una terraza construida por los indígenas quienes se cree fueron quienes sentaron las bases para el desarrollo de lo que más adelante llegó a ser la cultura Maya. MAR -DIA 3. APANECA – CHALCHUAPA – SAN SALVADOR
Desayuno
. Este día, viajaremos hacia Chalchuapa, de origen pokomame precolombino, en el idioma náhuat significa: "Lugar donde abundan las jadeitas". Aquí visitaremos el sitio arqueológico El Tazumal donde podremos admirar las pirámides y visitar el Museo local. Cerca de El Tazumal están disponibles réplicas de piezas originales para la venta. Luego nos desplazaremos hacia San Andrés, centro ceremonial precolombino donde podremos apreciar varias estructuras (pirámides) semi descubiertas y su museo histórico. Cena y alojamiento

MIE - DIA 4. SAN SALVADOR - SUCHITOTO
Desayuno
. Saldremos para el sitio arqueológico de Cihuatán. Cihuatán en idioma náhuat significa “Ciudad de la Mujer” alcanza un territorio de 5 kms2 y fue un centro ceremonial. Este es un sitio arqueológico con vestigios de una gran ciudad que sin duda constituye uno de los tesoros arqueológicos de Centroamérica. Veremos el campo de juego de pelota y otras estructuras de altares. El “Juego de Pelota” era una de las principales actividades ceremoniales que tenían los indígenas, se jugaban con pelotas de hule sumamente elásticas. Luego visitaremos la ciudad de Suchitoto, donde tomaremos nuestro almuerzo, por la tarde haremos un recorrido en lancha por el Lago de Suchitlán, retorno a San Salvador. Alojamiento
