SUN - DAY 1. SAN SALVADOR
Welcome at Airport, transfer to your hotel. Dinner at Restaurant in the area. Accommodation
MON - DAY 2. SAN SALVADOR - COATEPEQUE
Breakfast. At the appointed time we will have a short tour of the capital city San Salvador. Stroll through the crater El Boqueron, the San Salvador volcano, with its impressive volcanic cone and the pleasant views of the capital city. We will see lava from the latest eruption of this volcano and, finally, we will visit the archaeological site Joya de Ceren, we will visit structures buried by volcanic ash 1400 years ago. Then we will see the Obraje, a colonial industrial plant to process indigo also buried by ash from the volcanic eruption at the seventeenth century at San Andres archaeological site. Once we finish our visit, we will drive to the place of accommodation, at Coatepeque Lake. Accommodation.
TUE - DAY 3. COATEPEQUE – CERRO VERDEBreakfast. Departure to Cerro Verde. Visit the Natural Park Cerro Verde, which is a dormant volcano located at an altitude of 2035 meters (6670 feet) and length of 500 hectares (1235 acres); it has a cloud forest. Here we will hike into the woods within the crater of the volcano. There are about 127 species of birds, 17 of them hummingbirds, as well as a wide variety of flowers. An impressive region where one can appreciate the coastal plain, and Izalco Ilamatepec volcano and Lake Coatepeque. The Volcano of Izalco, 1,870 meters high, is an admirable volcanic cone, now devoid of vegetation. After this tour, we move toward Lake Coatepeque for lunch and optionally take a tour boat. WED - DAY 4. COATEPEQUE – IZALCO VOLCANO
Breakfast. At the time indicated departure to the Izalco Volcano. At 11:00 am we start walking toward the Volcano Izalco. After two hours of walking and climbing, we arrive at the crater of the volcano. This volcano is one of the youngest in the world. Known as "The Lighthouse of the Pacific" by sailors of the Pacific Ocean in ancient times, Izalco the volcano was formed with its own magma chamber in the eighteenth century, in the midst of cocoa plantations where the indigenous Pipils worked the land when this important industry provided much to the Spanish economy. Have more fun when descending down a dense cloudy forest by a gigantic toboggan of ash. What took more than one hour in climbing up can take even 10 minutes going down. THU - DAY 5. COATEPEQUE – SANTA ANA
Breakfast. This adventure will lead us to El Imposible National Park. You will enjoy the protected natural area with the greatest biological diversity existing in the country and refuge of species in danger of extinction world-wide. Its height oscillates from 1150 to 4125 feet above sea level. It has a diversity of species of trees much greater than any other forest of El Salvador; in addition, some species of their fauna are not found in any other site of the country. It is possible to consider this the forest par excellence; its escarped cliffs, alternating with the sources of crystalline water, wooded slopes and gorges, forms a precious virgin land in which they have been locked in, like their last refuge, a good number of animals and exotic plants that a couple of centuries ago abounded in other parts of the country. Many species of the wild life find a place not simply where to live, but what’s more important, a place that offers suitable conditions to reproduce and to maintain its population. Within the fauna that the park has we have: eagle, pajuil sparrowhawk, puma, tigrillo or Little Spotted Cat, or Tiger Cat, anteater, snake bell, etc. The walk in the park takes approximately 5 hours. FRI - DAY 6. SANTA ANA - MONTECRISTO
After breakfast, we will travel to the colonial town of Metapán and the Lake Güija. Once there, we will leave the urban area towards the Montecristo Park National. This is one of the main protected areas, due to the flora and fauna that can be found in the place, much of which is in danger of extinction. For example, the largest pines of the country can be found here. Water raccoons, tigrillos or Little Spotted Cat, or Tiger Cat, otters, squirrels, quetzals, deer and pumas comprise of the fauna of Montecristo, species that are in danger of extinction. Here strategies are developed so that the settlers learn to conserve and take care of the protected species. Finally, we will come back to the city of Santa Ana. Dinner. Accommodation.
SAT - DAY 7. SANTA ANA - SAN SALVADOR
After breakfast, we will drive to the historical center of Santa Ana City to see the Theater and the city hall of Neo-classic style, the Cathedral of gothic style. Then we will drive to the capital city; the rest of the day will be free. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight.

DOM - DIA 1. SAN SALVADOR
Recibimiento en Aeropuerto, Traslado a su hotel. Cena en Restaurante de la zona. Alojamiento.
LUN - DIA 2. SAN SALVADOR - COATEPEQUE
Desayuno. Salida para tomar un breve tour por la ciudad capital San Salvador. Pasaremos por el cráter El Boquerón, del volcán de San Salvador, con su impresionante cono volcánico y con las agradables vistas de la ciudad capital. Veremos la lava de la última erupción de éste volcán y finalmente visitaremos el sitio arqueológico Joya de Cerén, visitando las estructuras sepultadas por las cenizas volcánicas hace unos 1400 años. Luego veremos el obraje de añil sepultado también por las cenizas de la erupción volcánica del siglo XVII en el sitio arqueológico de San Andrés. Al terminar, nos trasladaremos al lugar de alojamiento, en el lago de Coatepeque. Alojamiento
MAR - DIA 3. COATEPEQUE – CERRO VERDE - COATEPEQUE
Desayuno. Salida para el Cerro Verde. Visitaremos el Parque Natural Cerro Verde, el cual es un volcán inactivo ubicado a una altitud de 2,035 MSNM y longitud de 500 hectáreas, posee un bosque nebuloso. Aquí haremos una caminata en el bosque dentro del cráter del volcán. Hay cerca de 127 especies de aves, 17 de ellas colibríes, además de una gran variedad de flores. Una impresionante región donde se pueden apreciar la planicie costera, los volcanes Izalco e Ilamatepec y el Lago de Coatepeque. El Volcán de Izalco, de 1.870 metros de altura, tiene un admirable cono volcánico, actualmente desprovisto de vegetación. Después de este recorrido, nos desplazaremos hacia el Lago de Coatepeque para almorzar y opcionalmente hacer un recorrido en lancha. Alojamiento.
MIE - DIA 4. COATEPEQUE – VOLCAN DE IZALCO – COATEPEQUE
Desayuno. Salida para el Volcán Izalco. A las 11:00 a.m. iniciaremos la caminata hacia el Volcán de Izalco. Luego de dos horas de caminata y escalada, llegamos hasta el cráter del Volcán. Este volcán es uno de los más jóvenes del mundo. Conocido como “El Faro del Pacífico” por los navegantes del Océano Pacífico en años pasados, el volcán de Izalco se formó con su propia cámara magmática en el siglo XVIII, en medio de las plantaciones de cacao que cuidaban los indígenas pipiles para esta importante industria que aportaba mucho a la economía española. La diversión continúa al descender por un gigantesco tobogán de ceniza hacia una densa selva nebulosa. Lo que tomó más de una hora en ascender lo puede bajar hasta en 10 minutos.

JUE - DIA 5. COATEPEQUE-SANTA ANA
Desayuno. Salida para El Imposible, Esta aventura nos llevará al Parque Nacional El Imposible. Conocerá el área natural protegida con mayor diversidad biológica existente en el país y refugio de especies en peligro de extinción mundial. Su altura oscila desde los 350 hasta los 1250 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Tiene una diversidad de especies arbóreas mucho mayor que cualquier otro bosque de El Salvador; además, algunas especies de su fauna no se encuentran en ningún otro sitio del país. Se puede considerar como el bosque por excelencia; sus farallones escarpados, alternando con sus fuentes o nacimientos de agua cristalina, pendientes y quebradas boscosas, forman una preciosa tierra virgen en la que se han encerrado, como su último refugio, un buen número de animales y plantas exóticas que hace un par de siglos abundaban en otras tierras del país. Muchas especies de la vida silvestre encuentran no simplemente un lugar donde vivir, sino más importante aún un lugar que ofrece condiciones adecuadas para reproducirse y mantener sus poblaciones. Dentro de la fauna que posee podemos mencionar: águila, gavilán pajuil, puma, tigrillo mayor, oso hormiguero, culebra cascabel, etc. La caminata dentro del parque dura 5 horas aproximadamente. Nivel intermedio. Cena en Restaurante de la zona. Alojamiento en la ciudad de Santa Ana.
VIE - DIA 6. SANTA ANA – MONTECRISTO – SANTA ANA
Después del desayuno, Luego viajaremos a la ciudad colonial de Metapán y el Lago de Güija. Una vez allí, vamos a salir de la zona urbana hacia el Parque Nacional de Montecristo. Esta es una de las principales áreas protegidas, debido a la flora y la fauna que se pueden encontrar en el lugar, gran parte de la cual está en peligro de extinción. Por ejemplo, los pinos más grandes del país se pueden encontrar aquí. Mapaches, tigrillos, nutrias, ardillas, quetzales, venados y pumas forman parte de la fauna de Montecristo, especies que están en peligro de extinción. Aquí se desarrollan estrategias para que los colonos aprendan a conservar y cuidar de las especies protegidas. Regresaremos a la ciudad de Santa Ana. Cena. Alojamiento.
SAB - DÍA 7. SANTA ANA - SAN SALVADOR
Después del desayuno, nos conduciremos al centro histórico de la ciudad de Santa Ana para ver el Teatro y el ayuntamiento de estilo neo-clásico, la catedral de estilo gótico. Luego regresaremos a la capital y tendremos el resto del día libre. Alojamiento.
